In June I had the privilege of working for Celebrity Stylist Sulkydoll (aka Donna) helping Maisy Sly (star of Oscar winning film 'The Silent Child') get ready to meet the Queen, alongside the Oscar winning writer and fellow cast member Rachel Shenton.

Apparently I was honoured that she let me style her hair, because earlier this year at the Oscars, she had not let anyone touch her. Luckily I was able to win her over with sparkly diamantés, which I placed within her pretty braids. I also did her Mum Liz's hair, her big brother and her little sister Chloe, who also got the sparkly princess treatment!
I must admit I did try to brush up on my Makaton in preparation for the day, but I did rely heavily on thumbs up and smiles. If you haven't seen the film yet, please watch it on catch up. It's such a heart warming film, that reflects our society's need to support hard of hearing children more within our schools and the need for signing to be taught as an official language.
Below are some images from the day, as well as a lovely message that I got from actress and the Oscar winning writer of the film, Rachel Shenton! Scroll right to see the full set of photos x
